There are so many good images being recorded by the railcams and the accesses to this module are really quite strong.
How do you list or review the best images the railcams have ever taken? Currently it is not possible to rate the images. It would be good if we could do this.
On the LHS of the railcams screen under locos in railcams we could have a php query when displays railcam images which have been voted on and in the order of most votes to least votes so the list is dynamic.
Something we could tackle after the photo competition goes live post the new server implementation.

In Geelong there is a camera which can show trains when they are grain trains. add a camera to the railpage system which shows the images and can archive an image if required.

Some railcams should be like railcam.uk where some railcams or webcams such as city skylines should on donation or if you are an active contributer (railcam maintainers)
This will raise more money to railpage as well as pay for internet to power these webcams.
These cameras should be streaming in real time and at key locations and be PTZ.

It has been discussed here the advantages of a Railcam in South Australia. various traffic patterns across South Australia do not necessarily duplicate or rather an unique when compared to the eastern states.
It has been discussed a camera at Belair, even one a the Bed and Breakfast at Mount Lofty seen here: http://www.mlrs.com.au/home.html
My preference would be out at Port Augusta or elsewhere on the line between Port Augusta and Port Pirie.

Railpage already has a number of railcams in Victoria and Melbourne. I think it is time for a Railcam in NSW. I am Suggesting a camera or two in Sydney and Newcastle.

Add a new railcam to the Victorian North East line, perhaps around Seymour.

We have an opportunity to negotiate access and subsequent commissioning of two or three railcams at Port Augusta. I envisage, subject to detailed design, having two cameras in a mode similar to what has been installed at Mount Lofty Railway Station. One camera facing EAST and one facing WEST.
We would also like to install a PTZ based camera with variable zoom and focus to view trains coming and going from the EDI workshops spur lines. The idea being users could control the PTZ camera for a period between certain hours of the day.
The cameras would also covering arriving and departing PRR steam and diesel hauled trains at the Port Augusta end of the narrow gauge line.
If you are in favour of this proposal please provide your vote so we can assess interest.

I have been thinking about this for a while. Proposing we have a feature which allows a user to tag a railcam image as a "favourite". This added onto your timeline of actions which yuou can view. In your profile section you can see a list of tagged favourite photos.
We may well consider being able to tag a favourite image on the railpage gallery.
Would also be nice to have a list of all favourite tagged images for Railcams and who tagged as a favourite.
